Rooms from £30/day inc Breakfast
You cannot beat the view from the swimming pool patio, it is just stunning! We had our wedding photos taken here! Of the three hotels in Viñales, this one feels the busiest, but the service is good and I believe the food in the restaurant is better.
Why we like this hotel:-
- The view of the mountains (mogotes) in the Viñales Valley is fantastic.
- Watching the early morning mist hovering in the valley.
- The large swimming pool
- The food in the restaurant isn't bad! (my father in-law is the chef - try his Rice Pudding...)
- They have a pool table
Hotel Jazmines is a boutique
hotel. It is the first hotel that you come to as you enter the Viñales Valley. The main hotel is a beautiful old colonial style building with high ceilings, balconies, stained glass windows and painted shutters.
Set in a beautiful location, overlooking the valley, Hotel Jazmines has a really charming feel to it. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Hotel Jazmines is situated a fair distance outside Viñales, but don't be put off - it's well worth a visit. It is a 7km downhill walk to the Village centre.
A Taxi to Hotel Jazmines from Viñales main Plaza will cost you about 3CUC (£1.98)
There are 78 clean and comfy 'Tropical' rooms, simply furnished with marble floors and cane furniture - the perfect size for 2 people.
There's plenty of hot water, a good bed and air conditioning.
In our opinion, the best rooms to ask for are the little bungalows or 'cabanas' (there are only 8 of them) which overlook the valley- you can't beat waking up to this view every morning!.
Hotel Jazmines has a large, rectangular swimming pool on the sun terrace, with plenty of sun-loungers to lay on, and the best view in Vinales.
It is the largest swimming pool in Viñales, and ideal if you want to swim lengths.
There are currently no parasols, but there are shaded areas on the terrace, near the hotel.
If you are not a resident, you may still use the hotel pool for a fee.
The Restaurant & Bar
The restaurant serves the usual Cuban fair, (although we've tried to add some variety by giving our father-in-law ,who's the chief, a few new recipes to try!).
Sit by the window in the restaurant upstairs at sunset and watch the sun go down through the coloured stained glass windows.
Watch the floor show in the Bar, great dancers and fire eaters!
