For real caving, drive 15 kilometres west to the Gran Caverna de Santo Tomás. This is the biggest cave in Cuba. Basic tours are two hours and a guide is provided. Helmets and headlamps are provided, although you might want to bring a more powerful torch, if you have one. The cave is spectacular. The cave has 45 kilometres of galleries on eight levels.
